Exciting day for the BMW Motorsport fans, the M3 GT2 cars from BMW Rahal Letterman Racing team have scored the first two grid position after the ALMS Qualifying sessions. The twenty minutes qualifying session ended with Joey Hand, driving the motorcar No. 90, delivering the team's beginning pole. The clock stopped at two:06.950 minutes subsequently the iv.084 mile circuit lap at Road America.

His teammate Dirk Mueller came 2d landing .123 seconds backside Mitt with a lap of ii:07.073 minutes.If the two drivers will remain to exist as competitive every bit today, the ALMS race tomorrow will be quite exciting.

Martin Birkmann, BMW of North America Motorsport Manager: "Neat grid positions are important, and we have seen that especially in the terminal two races. Today we put the pace together and achieved a sensational qualifying result. Both drivers and pit crews did a phenomenal chore. I think it's fantastic for the #90 car to be on pole considering racing fortune has not smiled on them so far. Dirk did a great job, too. But the race is tomorrow. Nosotros know how closely matched we are.
